Indoor climate monitoring for the building automation duty
The building automation duty under § 56 GModG requires continuous recording of energy and indoor climate. Nebatic makes indoor climate visible room by room.
Under § 56 of the German Building Modernisation Act (GModG, formerly § 71a GEG), non-residential buildings with heating or air conditioning above 70 kW must have building automation; existing buildings have until the end of 2029. Nebatic provides the indoor climate data as one building block of your automation and monitoring concept.
How it works with Nebatic
Nebatic records temperature, humidity, CO₂ and more room by room and provides them on the platform as trends and issues. Through APIs the data can be connected to existing building systems and consumption data. Indoor climate thus becomes a traceable building block of your automation and monitoring concept.
Basis: § 56 of the German Building Modernisation Act (GModG). The duty does not apply where the equipment is technically impossible or economically unreasonable. Not legal advice: a general summary (as of October 2026).
