Nebatic combines data from its own sensor systems as well as from external building hardware and software into a unified information base. Measurement data from Nebatic sensors are merged with third-party devices, energy meters, operational data, or financial data, centrally normalized, and analyzed within the Nebatic platform. This increases the informational value of every data point and provides measurable added value to existing infrastructure.

Nebatic devices are generally available in two operating modes: battery-powered or mains-powered. The mains-powered variants can either be connected via cable to a power outlet or operated directly as compact plug-in modules within the socket. In addition, various sensor combinations are available, allowing each device to be optimally configured for its specific application context.

The sensors transmit the collected environmental data wirelessly to a central database, enabling flexible placement and efficient data collection across different environments. Nebatic provides precise real-time monitoring, with data continuously collected and analyzed. This allows changes in conditions to be detected immediately and appropriate measures to be initiated promptly. All Nebatic devices—both mains-powered and battery-powered variants—are designed for installation without any changes to the existing building structure. Nebatic offers a comprehensive range of clearly structured charts that present measurement values and trends in an understandable manner. In addition to these predefined visualizations, users can create their own charts based on individual requirements. This allows specific questions, custom comparison periods, or room-based analyses to be flexibly visualized. The combination of standard charts and freely configurable views supports precise and context-sensitive data evaluation.

Nebatic allows flexible definition of individual threshold values for all monitored variables. When these thresholds are exceeded, the system generates alerts. Alerts can be configured based on patterns and time schedules, ensuring that notifications are triggered only during desired time periods. The configurable alert logic also supports precise, room- and usage-specific monitoring and facilitates fast, well-informed responses during daily operations.

Nebatic acts as a central control unit that ensures seamless and connection-friendly integration into existing building infrastructures. Nebatic supports a wide range of protocols and smart devices from various manufacturers. This enables flexible, manufacturer-independent, and consistently coordinated control of ventilation, heating, lighting, and shading systems—without requiring fundamental replacement of existing hardware.

Flexible scenarios can be defined to automatically control devices under specific conditions. One example is adjusting radiators or lighting based on current indoor air quality and occupancy. In addition, actions can be triggered manually by users at any time, allowing commands to be issued according to individual needs and preferences, ensuring a high degree of flexibility and user control.

Setup process from order to activation

Selection of the device with the desired sensors

There are various versions with different sensor combinations that can be selected according to your needs. Regardless of the number of sensors, all versions offer the same core functions and features.

Subscription activation for software access

After receiving the device and reading the device ID (required for software activation), the subscription process can begin. First, the appropriate subscription type is selected based on the number of devices and users. Then, relevant device information such as location and device type is entered into the software. Finally, the administrator assigns access rights for each user.

Define room space and access rights

After activation in the software, the device is assigned to a specific location – this can be precisely defined if needed, e.g., room, floor, or building section. Additionally, you define who is allowed to access the data collected by the device and what level of permission they have – from view-only access to full management rights.

Device placement

The device should be positioned within the area where environmental data is to be recorded. Ideally, it should be placed in a way that avoids major disruptions or measurement distortions. It should be in direct contact with the environment and not inside a closed compartment or near sources like heaters.

Start of data collection and transmission

Once connected to power, Nebatic automatically begins the continuous collection and wireless transmission of all environmental data. Real-time and historical data are stored centrally.

Analysis of collected data

In the user interface, you can view the collected data from individual devices both in real time and as a trend over time. You also have access to data analysis and the assessment of current environmental factors in relation to potential health risks. Depending on the device’s placement and the recorded data, corresponding alerts can be activated. You have the choice: either use Nebatic’s predefined standard modes or define custom threshold values according to your requirements.

Optimization measures: automated via connectivity or manual

Based on Nebatic’s analysis, optimization of environmental factors can be done—depending on whether your building devices are networked—either automatically via integration with control systems or manually based on Nebatic’s recommendations. For automatic control, connection to available systems can be made directly through the user interface or via Nebatic’s API.
